Melkkos

A nostalgic South African heritage dessert of buttery, tender dough frummels simmered in creamy warm milk, dusted with sweet cinnamon sugar.

Made from humble pantry staples of full cream milk, flour, cold cubed butter, baking powder, and a dash of salt, rubbed into delicate dough crumbs (frummels) that thicken the milk into a silky, fragrant pudding. Dusted generously with melting cinnamon sugar, it is proper heritage comfort in a bowl.
