Braaied Baby Marrow
Charred, tender baby marrow finished with zesty lemon, creamy feta, and toasted almonds.
A quick, vibrant, and effortlessly healthy side dish perfect for your next braai. The light caramelisation from the open fire pairs beautifully with sharp feta and aromatic fresh garden herbs.

Get your mise en place ready so nothing catches you out mid-cook.
Method
- 1
Char on the Braai
Preheat your braai to a medium heat. Place the prepped baby marrow halves directly onto the braai grid, cut side down.
- 2
Cook gently over the coals for a few minutes until the flesh is golden brown and lightly caramelised.
- 3
Season and Garnish
Flip the marrow halves over. Sprinkle the 1–2 tsp of sesame seeds evenly across the grilled flesh and season with salt to taste.

Ivana’s note
Be sure to keep your braai at a medium heat—if the coals are too hot, the exterior skin will burn before the interior of the baby marrow becomes tender.
